Media Exposure Overview Graph

Notes: From July 15 – August 14, we experienced four main peaks in media exposure (July 16, 24, August 6, 13), all related to the weekly provincial measles update. The smaller peak on July 28 was related to a heat alert, and the August 11 spike followed a news release for West Nile Virus detection in local mosquito pools.
Website Overview Graph

Notes: Darker blue line is current timeframe. From July 15 – August 14, we saw very steady web traffic at a comparable level to last month. The large peak on August 12 can be explained by the news release issued around West Nile Virus detection.
Social Media Overview Graph

Notes: Lighter blue line is current timeframe. From July 15 – August 14, we saw an increase in followers across all platforms. This month we saw a small increase in followers on X (Twitter) where we have previously continued to see a decrease.
Discussion – Substance Use Awareness via Social Media

To help support a public notice issued by the Windsor Police Service regarding overdose calls, the Communications Department worked with the Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction Department on a series of boosted social media posts. The posts were intended to raise more awareness around overdose prevention and existing services to support those with addictions.
Four social media posts were issued; each post was boosted over a period of five days with the campaign goal of increasing traffic to the website/increasing engagement.
The metrics for the posts were as follows:
