General Information
Healthcare providers should follow routine practices and precautions when providing immunizations and other services, by considering the following recommendations:
- Screening all clients prior to visits
- Non-medical masks for patients
- Physical distancing between patients at the clinic
- Scheduling considerations
- Personal protective equipment when necessary

COVID-19 is reportable disease under Ontario’s public health legislation. If you suspect an individual may be infected with COVID-19, healthcare providers must report the suspected case to Windsor-Essex County Health Unit immediately. Please use the WECHU’s reporting form:

Reporting of Adverse Events
Health care providers are required to report an adverse event following immunization. To report an adverse event to the WECHU, please complete Public Health Ontario’s Adverse Event Following Immunization Reporting Form and submit it to the WECHU by email (vaccine@wechu.org) or fax (519-977-1711).
