Where can patients get a TST?

WECHU only administers the TST if it is deemed medically necessary by a patient’s health care provider, and to those who are contacts of a case of infectious active TB disease.

Two-Step Tuberculin Skin Test (TST)

Best practice indicates that a two-step tuberculin skin test (TST) involves two tests performed within one to four weeks of each other.

Use of Interferon Gamma Release Assay (IGRA) for LTBI Diagnosis

IGRA assesses for past exposure to Mycobacterium tuberculosis. 

Tuberculin Skin Testing (TST) or Interferon Gamma Release Assay (IGRA) and COVID-19 Vaccination

Vaccination with COVID-19 vaccines may take place at any time before, after or at the same visit as the TST or IGRA test.
