These Terms and Conditions form part of every purchase order (“PO”) issued by Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (“Health Unit”). Subject to section 2 below, these Terms and Conditions supersede and take precedence over any and all previous verbal or written arrangements in connection with the subject matter of the PO and no other terms and conditions shall apply to the PO, unless agreed to in writing by the Health Unit.
WECHU administers mandated public health programs to keep our community healthy. Depending on an individual’s relationship with us and how they interact with us, the specific personal information or personal health information that we collect, use and disclose and the related purposes varies.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) established a Code of Conduct (the “Code”) to help create and maintain a culture of excellence and integrity, and to clearly outline the types of behaviors that are expected in the workplace. It is the responsibility of all Board members, executives and employees of WECHU, including all managers, staff, volunteers, and students to act in a manner consistent with this Code and to hold others accountable to its terms and related policies.
The Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) provides an individual with the right to access information under the custody and control of an institution, including one's own personal information (Section I - MFIPPA). There are certain limitations that may exclude records from being accessible: the records may be exempt, confidentiality provisions may apply or the request may be considered frivolous or vexatious.
