Voting Information

  • Youth Judging has narrowed down the almost 100 Break the Vape PSA video Submissions. The top 5 elementary and top 5 secondary videos are now ready for the public to vote.
  • The results of public voting will determine our first, second, and third place videos.
  • Voting will happen online from April 15th to the 26th. During the voting period, people can vote one time per day for their favourite Grade 6 to 8 video AND Grade 9 to 12 video.
  • Feel free to spread the word and share this link with your friends and family.
 
 

About the Contest

What is the Break the Vape Challenge?

Break the Vape Challenge is a Public Service Announcement (PSA) video contest. Windsor-Essex County students in grades 6 to 12 can use their voice to raise awareness about the dangers of vaping and expose the sneaky marketing tactics of the tobacco industry.

Students will be asked to create and upload a PSA video. Prizes will be awarded for the top voted videos and schools with the highest participation.

Why is this important?

Vapour products are the most used nicotine product among youth, without really knowing the dangerous health effects. The industry has historically targeted youth with appealing flavours, packaging, and devices. It’s time for youth to raise awareness and use their voice to say NO to vapes.
