The Windsor-Essex County Public Health Unit (WECHU”) has approved a new three-year collective agreement with public health nurses represented by the Ontario Nurses Association, Local 8.

Partners of the Windsor-Essex Community Opioid and Substance Strategy (WECOSS) and the Windsor-Essex Ontario Health Team gathered Wednesday to launch a new mental health and addictions service inventory for those looking for help in Windsor and Essex County.
The Substance Supports in Neighbourhoods Accessed through Police Partnerships (SSNAPP) team, comprised of the Windsor Police Service, Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, and the City of Windsor, is excited to announce the launch of Neighbourhood Safety Plans for community members in the Downtown (N9A), South Central (N8X), Walkerville and East Windsor (N8Y), and South Walkerville (N8W) areas.

Please be advised that rapid antigen test (RAT) kits for COVID-19 are no longer available for public distribution at the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, and they will not be restocked in the future.
