Tuberculosis (TB) is an airborne disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which primarily affects the lungs but can develop in any part of the body. There are two forms of TB: active TB disease and TB infection (formerly known as latent TB infection). Active disease means that the bacteria are growing, causing symptoms, and can be transmitted to others (if located in the lungs), while TB infection (TBI) means that the TB bacteria are in the body but inactive.

Partners of the Windsor-Essex Community Opioid and Substance Strategy (WECOSS) and the Windsor-Essex Ontario Health Team gathered Wednesday to launch a new mental health and addictions service inventory for those looking for help in Windsor and Essex County.
The Substance Supports in Neighbourhoods Accessed through Police Partnerships (SSNAPP) team, comprised of the Windsor Police Service, Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, and the City of Windsor, is excited to announce the launch of Neighbourhood Safety Plans for community members in the Downtown (N9A), South Central (N8X), Walkerville and East Windsor (N8Y), and South Walkerville (N8W) areas.
