Hub 33 is a group of like-minded agencies here to serve Leamington residents and our neighbours, in one convenient location.

The Hub Supports and Services:

Primary Care Providers

  • Cancer care prevention (PAP tests, Mammograms, FOBT)
  • Medication renewals
  • Primary Care & Diagnosis
  • Referrals
  • Immunizations
  • Leamington Area Moms and Babes (LAMB) Adult and Prenatal and Postnatal care
  • Pediatric care

Dietitians

  • Nutrition counselling
  • Weight management
  • Chronic illness/disease management (e.g. diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, etc.)
  • Pre-natal/post-natal nutrition support

Diabetes Educators

  • Diabetes education and support
  • Lifestyle, nutrition, weight and pharmacological management

Outreach Community

  • Health Promotion
  • Exercise and Cooking Classes
  • Parenting Groups

Respiratory Therapist

  • Complete and Respiratory Assessments
  • Screening and diagnoses of Asthma and COPD
  • Education and Counselling Programs

Social Workers

  • General mental health and addictions counselling to individuals aged five and up
  • Walk in appointments available between 1 and 2 pmAreas of support:
    Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Work RelatedStress, Grief, Family Conflict, Relationship Problems, Self-Harm, Substance Abuse, Traumatic Life Events
  • Oral (Dental) Health Clinic
  • Sexual Health Clinic with a Public Health Nurse every two weeks and by appointment only. Sexually Transmitted Infection testing and treatment and provision of low cost birth control with a prescription and free condoms
  • Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner Clinics every Tuesday. Walk-ins welcomed and no Health Card required
  • Nurse Practitioner Care Clinics for prenatal clients and children up to the age of 6 years occurs once a week and by appointment only
  • Healthy Families Breastfeeding Clinic Services by appointment only
  • Immunizations for school aged children will continue to take place once per month and by appointment only
  • Vaccine distribution
  • Smoking cessation resources and support
  • Smoke-free signage and enforcement staff
  • Children First was founded on the knowledge that the early years of life are crucial to the healthy development of children and families
  • Agency staff partner with families and the community to provide individualized support for children (birth to six years) with developmental and/or mental health challenges, helping them reach their full potential through early identification, education and clinical interventions
  • We believe that children should be supported to feel a sense of inclusion and belonging in their community
  • Services are provided to families in their homes, child care centres, other childhood settings and at the agency. We also provide specialized supports to child care centres
  • We believe that children learn best in a secure and familiar environment with their parents and caregivers supporting their development
  • We believe that family relationships are the foundation for growth and learning and individualize our supports based on the unique strengths and needs of your child and family

Employment and Social Services:

  • Provides eligible Clients with funds for basic needs, shelter, discretionary benefits, and other mandatory benefits
  • Provides job coaching, employer incentives, job matching and job trials/placements
  • Provides Employment-Related Expenses (ERE) to support participation in employment activities, basic education, job-specific skills training, and volunteer placements
  • Facilitates application for the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), as appropriate

Children's Services:

  • Provides Child Care Fee Assistance for licensed Child Care Centres, Before and/or After School Programs, and Home Child Care Programs

Supporting children, youth and adults with an intellectual disability and their families throughout Essex County.

Employment Supports (Career Compass)

  • A modernized employment service, providing support to youth and adults searching for meaningful employment

Community Participation Supports

  • Links adults to meaningful leisure, recreation, practical learning and volunteer opportunities

Respite Supports

  • Provides quality respite/short breaks for children and youth and adults

Family Home Program

  • Partners people with a family so they can live in a nurturing family environment

Accommodation Supports

  • Provides unique 24 hr supports for youth and adults

Individual Support Services

  • Individualized support for people who live independently
  • All supports are flexible and person-directed
  • Protects children and youth who have been abused, neglected or whom are at risk of harm by helping families to reduce harmful circumstances
  • Offers counselling to families whose children are at risk of abuse or neglect
  • Provides referrals for families to other community service providers, specialized services and treatment 
  • Investigates all allegations of child maltreatment and neglect
  • Actively works towards strengthening each family unit by working with parents to develop parenting skills

  • Arranges treatment services for children in our care, as required
  • Finds appropriate residential placements for children in care of the Society
  • Recruits, trains and supports foster and adoptive homes
  • Provides community education and prevention services through information sharing and presentations
  • Provides the community with various volunteer opportunities which enhance and support the work of the agency
  • Through community support channelled via the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation, provides programs that nurture children, empower youth and strengthen families to whom the Society provides services
