Childhood Injuries are one of the leading causes of death among children.  Child Injuries can happen in the places children live, play and explore. The good news is that most childhood injuries can be prevented!

Government of Canada- Recalls and Safety Alert 
This website provides information on current recalls and safety alerts on items such as food (e.g., infant formula), toys, household items, etc.

Caring for Kids 
This website was developed by the Canadian Paediatric Society, and includes a section on safety and injury prevention when at home, at play, on the move, etc.

Safety Drives Us 
This website includes videos on various road safety topics, including child car seats.  These videos are available in many languages: English, Arabic, Punjabi, Mandarin, Spanish.

This website provides information on how to choose the right car seat for your child. 

Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation- New Family Rule 
This website provides parents with activities and tips sheets to teach their children about how to protect your skin when outside.

Expert poison advice about common poison exposures such as medicine, plants and industrial chemicals. They can provide you with poison prevention information and educational materials.
