The accompanying financial statements of the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (“Health Unit”) Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services Program Initiatives are the responsibility of the Health Unit’s management and have been prepared in compliance with legislation, and in accordance
with Canadian public sector accounting standards for local governments established by the Public Sector Accounting Board of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) requires the Board of Health to approve the annual operating budget, as this budget forms the basis of the Annual Service Plan and Budget Submission to the Ministry of Health (MOH).
