Our prenatal breastfeeding course is a free, 2-hour class instructed by a Healthy Families Public Health Nurse. It is designed to give women and their partners the information they need to breastfeed successfully.

WECHU is pleased to announce the return of Well Baby Drop-in Clinics. Parents and caregivers of babies and young children, ages 0-6 can meet with a Public Health Nurse at one 6 different locations across Windsor-Essex County.
Your right to breastfeed anywhere, anytime is protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
According to Health Canada and the Canadian Paediatric Society (2014), it’s recommended to exclusively breastfeed for the first six months with appropriate introduction of solid foods. Continued breastfeeding is encouraged for up to two years or longer.
