Papalooza: Your health matters because YOU matter

During the month of October local women will have the opportunity and encouragement to get screened (Pap test) for cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is almost entirely preventable with regular screening, appropriate and timely follow-up of abnormal results and HPV immunization.

The Pap test for cervical cancer is recommended for women between the age of 21- 69 every 3 years. Finding cancer early means it is less likely to spread and there is a better chance of treating it successfully.

Find out your risk factors for developing cervical cancer.

You can complete a cervical cancer risk factor assessment and come up with your own Health Action Plan.

Remember: Your health matters because YOU matter.
