Oral Health Month is a perfect time to remember that taking good care of our mouth, teeth, and gums, every day, benefits our overall physical and mental well-being.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Oral Health for Total Health.”
The Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA) has more information on why oral health matters and what actions the school community can take to promote awareness about the importance of oral health from age one to one hundred!
- A colouring contest for students in the following ages groups, and prizes too.
- 5 years old and under
- 6-9 years old

Schools can join in Oral Health Month, at their convenience, anytime during April. Let’s support being informed about the importance of oral health across the life span – starting with children learning how to care for their teeth and why oral health to is important for total health.
