Girls - Flip the Script with EAAA

Girls - Flip the Script with EAAA® is a free and voluntary self-defense and empowerment program for adolescent girls in Windsor and Essex County.
This engaging, research-based program teaches participants how to recognize risk, set boundaries, and respond in uncomfortable or unsafe situations.
Whether it’s learning to say “no” with confidence, spotting pressure tactics early, or developing self-protective strategies, this program gives girls practical tools for real life.
The course is broken up into four, 3-hour sessions led by our trained facilitators (and Public Health Nurses!).
Who Can Participate?
This program is for self-identified girls, aged 14 to 18 years old, of all sexual identities who have not yet graduated high school.
** This program recognizes that LGBTQ2S+ individuals are at elevated risk of sexual violence, even if they do not date men; but please note that Flip the Script with EAAA™ uses gendered language.

What Will Participants Learn?
Each session focuses on one of the following skills:
- Assess: Learn how to spot red flags and situational risks.
- Acknowledge: Understand emotional barriers and prioritize personal boundaries.
- Act: Gain effective physical and verbal strategies to assert boundaries and protect their bodies.
- Relationships and Sexuality: Enhance understanding of healthy and unhealthy relationships, personal relationship goals, and develop skills for asserting your right to pursue these within consensual contexts.
When and Where?
Flip the Script will be offered at select Windsor-Essex high schools and community centres starting in January 2026. The program runs as 4 sessions, 3 hours each, although the specific schedule may differ per location.

- Reduce sexual assault by 50% in post-secondary participants
- Increase confidence, boundary-setting, and resistance skills
- Improve mental well-being and reduce self-blame
This teen specific version is part of an ongoing Canadian study and is being delivered in partnership with local organizations.
