SUBJECT: 2025 Risk Management Update
BACKGROUND/PURPOSE
The Good Governance and Management Practices Domain of the Ontario Public Health Standards (OPHS) requires that the Board of Health remains informed of risk management activities. Additionally, the WECHU’s Risk Management Policies and Procedures directs that the risk registry shall be monitored regularly by an agency lead and relevant stakeholders as part of the Risk Monitoring Phase.
DISCUSSION
Each risk identified in the Risk Registry is assigned relevant staff members to monitor, assess, and manage each of the 21 risks across 12 categories.
In June 2025, a periodic risk review was conducted. A summary of the findings from this review is listed in the table on page 2.
