You can also find recreation programs at municipalities throughout Windsor-Essex County. A Recreation Discount is available for eligible families toward many programs in the city of Windsor and municipalities across Essex County.

EarlyON and Family Centres


Free programming for parents and caregivers with children ages 0-6 years to foster a sense of belonging, well-being, and engagement. Parents/caregivers can bring their children for playtime and healthy snacks at various locations throughout Windsor-Essex County.

Free two-week camp that provides fun fitness activities, life skills, art, mindfulness and nutrition lessons for students going into Grades 6-8.

Greater Essex County District School Board – Camp Wonder

The Greater Essex County District School Board provides a three-week day camp every July designed to develop students' mindsets to be able to learn new things through active, inquiry-based activities. There is also a focus on daily movement, mindfulness and science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM).

UHC Hub of Opportunities offers children’s daytime programs that are geared for children and youth ages 19 month – 24 years old during the month of July through August.

The Summer Recreation Program is a free program that provides children between 4 and 17 years of age who live in or near CHC housing communities with an opportunity to participate in various positive recreational and social activities during the summer months.

South Essex Community Council – SPARK Camp

A community-based day camp for children in grades one through eight that operates during the summer months. Discounts available based on income.
