You Can Prevent Harm, But Can You Prevent Mental Harm in Your Workplace?

Andrew’s presentation will focus on how to raise mental health literacy, reduce mental health stigma, and take steps to prevent psychological harm among your employees.

This event is hosted by the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit and the Working Toward Wellness Committee. The Health Unit and its partners are dedicated to promoting and supporting comprehensive workplace wellness programs in Windsor-Essex County.

Andrew Harkness is the Strategy Advisor-Organizational Health Initiatives at the Workplace Safety and Prevention Services (WSPS) of Ontario. He has been with the health and safety association since 1988.

Andrew has Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Labour Studies and a post graduate diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from McMaster University. Andrew is a Certified Health and Safety Consultant and a Professional Member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering.

Andrew leads WSPS’s Healthy Workplace and OHS management system initiatives and solutions teams related to WSPS’s business model for creating organizationally safe and healthy workplaces in best practices oriented firms.
