A Public Health Nurse (PHN) is assigned to each school in the Windsor-Essex County. The role of the school nurse is to promote healthy living behaviours for students of all ages by supporting the Health & Physical Education Curriculum.
The topics we support are:
- Healthy eating and nutrition
- Physical activity
- Substance misuse
- Injury prevention
- Sexual health and healthy relationships
- Mental health and wellness
