Complaint
Summary description of the IPAC lapse.
Upon receiving foot care treatment, complainant noted that instruments did not appear to be sterilized as they were placed in a dirty Tupperware container.

The operator is cleaning and disinfecting equipment, however no autoclave sterilization is being used as required by PIDAC Best Practices for Cleaning, Disinfection and Sterilization in All Health Care Settings.

Operator must provide sterilized equipment using autoclave, or alternatively single use equipment. Operator to contact WECHU for re-inspection when sterilizing procedure is adopted.
