  • There were 2,598 new cases of cancer and 944 deaths due to cancer in Windsor-Essex County in 2012.
  • The most common type of new cancer diagnosed in Windsor-Essex County is prostate cancer. Breast cancer and lung cancer are the next most common.
  • Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer-related deaths in Windsor-Essex County.
