Possible COVID-19 Exposure notice banner

This page provides regular updates on possible public exposures to COVID-19 in the Windsor-Essex region.

COVID-19 is spread from person to person, through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes in close proximity to another person. The virus can also spread when someone touches an object or surface with the virus on it and then touches their mouth, nose or eyes, without washing or sanitizing their hands.

Symptoms of COVID-19 can range from mild to severe. It is important that anyone who has symptoms stay home and take the online self-assessment tool.

The WECHU will reach out directly to anyone identified as a high-risk close contact of a confirmed case to provide further instructions.

The WECHU lists locations open to the public where a positive case of COVID-19 worked/visited/attended during their infectious period when:

  1. It is determined there was a risk of public exposure, and
  2. The WECHU is not able to contact everyone who may have been exposed

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit asks anyone who visited the location listed below on the identified date to monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from the date of exposure. If symptoms develop, get tested immediately.

If you develop symptoms of COVID-19:
