Media Exposure Overview Graph

Notes: From November 15 – December 14, we experienced three main peaks in media exposure. On November 21, a story around beach water testing was picked up by various outlets across Ontario, accounting for the high exposure. The other two peaks were related to a story around fentanyl and overdoses in Windsor. This story was published by the Windsor Star on Dec. 2, then was picked up by various newspapers across Ontario on Dec 8.
Website Overview Graph

Notes: Darker blue line is current timeframe. From November 15 – December 14, we saw very steady web traffic at a slightly lower level compared to the previous month. This was another month with a very low quantity of news releases issued by the WECHU. News releases generally drive a lot of our website traffic.
Social Media Overview Graph (followers)

Notes: Lighter blue lines are the current timeframe. From November 15 – December 14, we saw a small increases in followers on Instagram and LinkedIn, with a small decrease on X. We shared fewer posts on X this month, due to the character limits on the platform and our messages having more content.
Discussion – Food Safety Dashboard Promotion

At the September Board of Health meeting, the Environmental Health department unveiled the new Food Safety Dashboard which allows users to search inspection reports of local food premises in an easy to navigate format. The dashboard also contains a map feature, allowing users to find food premises geographically.
To promote the new tool, a multi-modal marketing campaign rolled out in October, with assets staggered over three months. The campaign included boosted social media posts, digital and social media ads, posters on Windsor Transit buses and throughout the county, and radio ads. Each piece pointed users directly to the dashboard, using the “Know before you go” slogan.
The campaign’s goal of driving people to the website was successful. The page remained in the top five in our weekly web traffic report for over a month. The boosted posts on Meta yielded a total of 564 link clicks (over four posts), and the digital ad on Google produced 3,314 link clicks. In total, the webpage saw close to 12,000 visits over the course of the campaign.
