Challenge yourself to build healthy habits this Nutrition Month
March is national Nutrition Month in Canada, and this year the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is launching a free 6-week online challenge to help the community build healthy eating habits. Windsor-Essex County residents 18 years of age and older can learn ways to eat healthier and by participating in the 6-week challenge, they have a chance to win some great prizes.
The online challenge titled “Unlock the Potential of Healthy Habits”, provides strategies on how goal setting can help residents achieve healthy eating behaviours, focusing on a different healthy eating topic each week. A healthy diet can help to reduce the risk of many chronic diseases, including cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease (heart disease and stroke).
The challenge runs from March 5 to April 13, 2018, but registration starts today by visiting the Health Unit website at https://wechu.org/chronic-disease/nutrition-month-2018-unlock-potential-... or by calling the Health Unit at 519-258-2146, extension 3200.
