Falls are PREVENTABLE and you can REDUCE YOUR RISK

WINDSOR – Death by fall is the leading cause of traumatic death in Windsor and Essex County. When it comes to preventing falls, WE ALL HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY.

November is National Fall Prevention Month and the Windsor-Essex County Fall Prevention Committee, has an Open House on November 1st as well as FREE Fall Prevention Screening clinics throughout the month of November.

  • Join us for an Open House KICK-OFF on November 1st, 2018 at The Safety Village (7911 Forest Glade Dr. Windsor, ON). This event will take place from 9 am to 3 pm and will include Fall Prevention Clinics (10 am - 12 noon & 1 – 3 PM), exercise classes (11 am & 2 pm) and a Hazard Room game with prizes and Winter Walking demonstrations.
  • Fall Prevention Clinic from 9 am to 12 noon on Nov. 15 at the YMCA – Central Park 3402 Grand Maris East
  • Fall prevention clinic from 9 am to 12 noon on Nov. 22nd at Life After Fifty - East WFCU 8787 McHugh
  • Fall prevention clinic from 9-12 noon Nov. 29th at Life after Fifty - West 635 McEwan. 

Throughout November the Fall Prevention Committee will distribute Fall Prevention resources to county libraries, retirement homes, community centers and hospitals.
