News Release: Boil Water Advisory Issued in the Municipality of Leamington

Dr. Wajid Ahmed, Medical Officer of Health, has issued a boil water advisory for customers serviced by the Union Water Supply System in the following location within the Municipality of Leamington:
- North and south side of Mersea Road 10 between Highway 77 and Kent Rd 1. This includes Mersea Road 12 (addresses 958 to 1018) and Kent Road 1 (addresses 949 to 1019).
This is a notification of an adverse water sample and possible contamination of the water supply. The boil water advisory will remain in effect until further notice. There have been no illnesses reported to date.
Approximately 50 households are affected. The Union Water System is hand delivering notices house to house.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is asking that only bottled water or water brought to a hard boil for one minute should be used for consumption or food and ice preparation.
