The Windsor-Essex County Board of Health is looking for one (1) community member with financial expertise to serve as part of the Windsor-Essex County Board of Health (WECHU) Audit Committee for a term of no more then three years. The Audit Committee supports the Board in its responsibilities in connection with the annual external audit and contribute to audit quality. This includes monitoring the effectiveness of the Health Unit’s financial reporting environment, reviewing the audit plan, and reviewing the auditor’s findings.

Meetings of the Audit Committee are held approximately two to three times per year, plus ad hoc meetings as required.

Candidate Eligibility:

  • Applicants must have sufficient accounting, senior financial management or other relevant business experience.
  • The applicant must not be a current employee or officer of the board or act in the interests of any other person, company or municipality.
  • CPA designation is an asset.
