What are some safety tips for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers?

Pedestrians should:
- Only cross at crosswalks or crossovers

- Wear bright coloured clothing or wear reflective pieces, especially when it is dark out
- Make eye contact with drivers to make sure they see you before you cross

- Wear a helmet (this is law if you are 18 years and younger)
- Wear reflective clothing, or, have a reflective light on your bike to make sure you are visible, especially at night
- Make eye contact with drivers before walking your bike across an intersection
- Share the road with drivers
Drivers should:
- Always look out for pedestrians, especially before turning
- Drive slowly through school zones, residential areas, or other places where there may be children playing
- Stop behind the yield line
- Share the road with cyclists
