Main Page Content
Safe food handling is always important, especially in an emergency. You must make sure that you handle your food safely during these times. Always remember: When in doubt, throw it out!
Plan Ahead for Emergencies
- You must check the temperature of your refrigerator (4°C/40°F or less) and freezer
- (-18°C/0°F or less).
- You can have a cooler with ice ready if you know about the emergency ahead of time.
- Have foods on hand that do not require refrigeration.
