Newly arriving Temporary Foreign Workers will be given "Home Test Kits". The "Home Test Kit" is for the workers to conduct a self-administered Covid-19 test on day 8 of their 14 day quarantine.

This federal initiative is overseen by Switch Health. For more information or any questions regarding the self-administered kit, please visit Switch Health website.

Switch Health can assist directly in the facilitation of the Day 8 COVID-19 test for workers in a safe and secure manner. Employers can call at 1-888-511-4501 or email to get more information. This service will be available between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. EDT, Monday to Friday and 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. EDT, Saturday and Sunday.

New! Switch Health Update 

Switch Health has increased its onsite testing support capacity, where nursing teams will visit the quarantine location, conduct swabbing on Day 8 and transport the collected samples directly to Medical Laboratories of Windsor for processing. TFW employers are encouraged to use the following methods for booking appointments and otherwise communicating with Switch Health

Note: Temporary foreign workers cannot leave their place of quarantine until they have received a negative test result from their Day 8 test.
